DD50 – NOEL BALFOUR & THE CHRIS SAXTON BAND – I’D WALK A HUNDRED MILES

“The melody came to me in my sleep about 4 months ago”.

“I had no idea about a title or lyrics and then, about 4 weeks ago, I was thinking about Lorna, as I always do, about when I was courting her. She lived at one end of Sydney and I was at the other end. It was too far to ride my horse, so I used to walk to public transport and travel at least 5 times a week to see her for 12 months until she agreed to marry me, so the lyrics came to me straight from the heart, “I’d walk a hundred miles to be with you.”

“With the help of CHRIS SAXTON & ANDY BUSUTTIL, of Blue Mountain Sound, I recorded it. I hope you like it”. - Noel Balfour
