The Crosby Sisters - Please Don’t Bury Me

Golden Guitar winners The Crosby Sisters – Jodie and Kelly are one of Australian Country Music’s favourite duos and have received many awards and accolades throughout their career.

During the 2020 Tamworth Country Music Festival fans were treated to a number of Crosby Sisters appearances, including sharing a song with Troy Cassar-Daley on his tribute to women show and the Tamworth Proud show on the big stage in the park.

Over nearly four decades of performances and successful recordings, one of the songs that fans always wanted to hear was their version of John Prine’s quirky ‘Please Don’t Bury Me,’ which featured Kelly on lead vocals, but they never recorded the song for release on any of their albums.

Until now the song has been available on some ‘bootlegs’, but it now officially available as a single to country radio and soon to be available digitally.

The song is the perfect theme for those thinking about the important issue of organ donation but with a cheeky touch that will bring a smile to listeners’ faces.
